" A leading figure in Montreal's musical landscape "
Yannick Nézet-Séguin, conductor

The Trio
The Trio Hochelaga has earned a stellar reputation for its original programming, deft ensemble work and the poignant intensity of its performances. Founded in 2000, the ensemble has performed in North America, Europe, and Asia. Highpoints among their many concerts include their performance of Beethoven’s Triple concerto with the Tokyo New City Orchestra, the creation of Jacques Hétu’s Triple concerto with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, a concert in London’s mythic Wigmore Hall, and a recital in Venice’s Palazetto Bru Zane. The Trio Hochelaga has been producing their own concert series in Montreal for over 20 years, as well as an extensive discography that has won acclaim from the international press.
The members of the Trio
Trio Hochelaga brings together three exceptional musicians. Violinist Anne Robert, former concertmaster of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, enjoys a brilliant career as a chamber musician and teacher, and boasts a discography of over 40 albums. Cellist and composer Dominique Beauséjour-Ostiguy, winner of the 2018 Prix d'Europe, is distinguished by his expressiveness and commitment to new music. Pianist Dantonio Pisano, an award-winning soloist and sought-after teacher, is renowned for his virtuosity and musical sensitivity. Together, they offer a passionate and nuanced approach to the chamber music repertoire, blending tradition and innovation.

What cohesion! A true chamber music group in perfect harmony: everything is perfectly balanced: timbres, colors, equilibrium. Truly, this is a golden age for the trio!
