Three musicians invite you to unveil the hidden secrets of musical masterpieces. From Haydn to Beauséjour-Ostiguy, by way of Beethoven, Brahms and Tchaikovsky, Trio Hochelaga takes you on a journey through three centuries of creation.
Through carefully chosen excerpts from the great repertoire for piano trio, the musicians reveal the most eloquent passages, the key moments where emotions, daring and surprises are hidden.
Each fragment becomes a key that unlocks the composers' universe, offering a rich and varied panorama that will appeal to both passionate music lovers and curious newcomers alike. Through their lively and engaging presentations, the Trio's musicians share their passion and provide the audience with insights that enrich the concert experience even further!
The artists of the concert
The Trio Hochelaga has earned a stellar reputation for its original programming, deft ensemble work and the poignant intensity of its performances. Founded in 2000, the ensemble has performed in North America, Europe, and Asia. Highpoints among their many concerts include their performance of Beethoven’s Triple concerto with the Tokyo New City Orchestra, the creation of Jacques Hétu’s Triple concerto with
the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, a concert in London’s mythic Wigmore Hall, and a recital in Venice’s Palazetto Bru Zane. The Trio Hochelaga has been producing their own concert series in Montreal for over 20 years, as well as an extensive discography that has won acclaim from the international press.
